Just wondering how others ride, and what lift you got...
I had to crank my coilovers way up to get 3" of lift. The ride before and after cranking them up seems quite stiff...Not unbearable (well almost unbearable) just stiffer than I would have imagined. I'm on 600red springs. with bumper and winch so I guess that's why the diminished lift, but anyway, just wondering what others are seeing. Also seems I got way more than 3" in the back. I think I measured like 26.5" in the rear. Was expecting more like 25" That's with a 2" body lift.

I did just put this kit on, and haven't really givin it time to settle in. So I guess I should do that first.

Does cranking the coils up further make them stiffer? if so, does Toytec make a top spacer for the coilovers? To get that little extra lift without having to crank the coils way up?

I have the ToyTec Ultimate lift kit without the remote resis and can confirm that the more you lift the front the firmer the ride is. I have my kit dialed in at roughly 2.5" of lift and it rides nicely. It is not luxury soft but my sammich maker does not complain about it. It handles nicely in turns and does a good job on the trails for crawling and overlanding.

Replacing all the bushings will give you more "seat of the pants sensitivity" from the drive line but should not have any effect on suspension feel.

Honestly, I'm really happy with the kit as a whole. I hope I didn't sound like I was bashing the kit. Just seems really Firm to me. maybe more firm than I had in mind. I would buy the kit again.



I have the adjusters all the way to the - side of the +- dial.

I haven't really had time to drive the thing much yet, and I haven't gotten my alignment yet either, although it's pretty close. I have been reading that this kit is firmer than the factory stuff and that's what it feels like so far. I guess I really just wanted to know from others if they felt the Boss Res system Ride is really firm compared to what they had, or if I'm just crazy.



I have also read the Kings or Icons are way firmer than the stock stuff too, so this kit may be doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

I had problems with my bushings binding after install. They were actually preventing the control arms from articulating. This was causing a super harsh ride. I couldn't budge the front end down with all my body weight. I Took it all apart and re lubed everything. After driving it for a week or so, the poly bushings have broken in nicely.

Now, the truck rides like I thought it should.

Starting from the - or counterclockwise position. I have the fronts set a 4 clicks + or clockwise.

I am very happy with the handling and ride. It's firm but not jarring. The responsiveness is fantastic. This truck is tighter than it's ever been I'm sure.
At highway speeds 55-65mph it feels stable and planted. no wandering or bouncing around. Off road it's a little stiff, as you feel every pebble, (poly bushings) but it flexes well and doesn't seem to have any bad characteristics.

Overall, I love it.
