3rd Gen Trailer Lighting

I've followed some of the threads on this website concerning trailer wiring, but I'm stuck for a moment. I've got a '96 SR5. There's an 7 blade RV female plug coming out the back. I bought the Hopkins 4-wire LED tester for the 7 blade RV plug. Here are the results:

Tail lights on - correct response from tester.
Press brake pedal - right and left turn signals LEDs on tester light up.
Left turn signal - no response from tester.
Right turn Signal - no response from tester.
Hazard Lights - no response.

So, tail lights and brakes work, but nothing from the turn signals.

Found the control unit on the rear passenger side, inside the panel at the very back. It says TOYOTA, so my guess is that it's OEM, with a assembly sticker to match dated July '96. (Strange, I would have thought it was earlier seeing it's a '96 model.)

There are 4 wires going to it, and 4 coming out that head to the 7 blade RV connector. Maybe I need a pull-in adapter from my local auto parts people?
