The visors don't have those extentions to block the sun when it's coming in right above the rear view mirror. My '01 Tacoma had that. I wonder if Tacoma visors would fit on our trucks.

You could just tint that area.

I thought mine was the only one as well. Thanks for clearing that mystery up...I was leaning to that being the reason. :rant:

How about no way to open the rear tailgate from the inside or roll the window down from the back (while camping). Also whats up with the little buisness card holder near the vanity lights?

I swapped my roof console out for the 99+ one cause that one you speak of blows, now i can put my sunglasses up there. IDK about the rear hatch.

The sunroof Dial from the the Mark 4 jetta is nice, the sunroof headaches from it aren't.

Convientently 99% of all MKIV problems included the 99.5's, but yes another thread.

And there are definetly upgrades to get rid of some of these quirks, but when in 10 or 15 years when we no longer have these cars for whatever reason, it is those quirks you remember most and you would have the car no other way if you were to get another...

OH MAN! It really bugs me when I see a really nice 4Runner on the highway and I pull up next to them and its some old lady who can't possibly know what she has and probably thinks its a Mitsubishi or something...as hard as I had to look to get mine and they just bought whatever was on the lot!

No side mirror defrosters on the early models, no speakers on the rear hatch (even though some people have tried), and no selection for Full time 4wd on the 5 speeds :/, and no option for painted bumpers on the pre-fat lip in america.

I'm 6'0" and I can't stand it when I put the visor down, blocks my view! Lowerable seat would be nice.

The rear view mirror in the 3rd gen is a joke IMO, I have a broadway mirror but ever since I got the SR5 sun visors, they don't clear the mirror... so I can't move the visors past a certain point.

One piece exhaust manifold/catalytic converter on 3RZ models.

I don't have heated seats in my 4Runner, but who's clever idea was it to make both switches on the driver's side?

Warped rotors and even drums, no SUV should come with these small of brakes, period.

You can roll the back window down by putting the key in and turning counter clock wise.
