haha that's kinda cool. It would actually be pretty usefull for someone hauling a bunch of kids around!

Note that these are lap belts only... You cannot get a shoulder restraint, and it is one piece seat. Makes me wonder though... How are these things bolted to the frame? (or at least something strong enough to hold it in place in a crash).

- is better anchored for each seat (to side - 1 anchor/hinge AND floor - 2 anchors)
- matches upholstry
- more readibly removable (one or both at a time)
- seats/belts are to Toyota safety spec.

The OEM seats make many options not avalible.

Even if they did provide shoulder belts, I'm not sure I would trust the retractable mechanism, and you know they would be much too low for most car seats to anchor them correctly...

I've got one of these seats in my '04...
And I'm very happy with it. I use it as seldom as possible, because it puts the kids so close to the door, but it's incredibly useful -- and well-made. (No, I don't have any connection whatsoever with the company.) Shoulder belts are an option -- and one I considered incredibly important, so the seat I have has them -- along with headrests. I would recommend the seat to anybody -- it's made of very heavy-gauge steel and the installation instructions couldn't have been clearer. Customer service was excellent, too, with prompt answers to all my questions. Like I said, it's not something I let my kids ride in all the time, but now I can get seven people into my 4Runner when I need to. And when I need the cargo space, it's a fairly easy 10 minutes to get the seat out -- and another 10 to put it back in.
