3RZ fuel filter

Thinking of changing your 3RZ fuel filter? Get back insurance first, coz its gonna be hurting when you are done. Did mine yesterday, and the dealer wont change it coz its a "non serviceable part" whatever that means. I managed to get it done without removing the intake manifold but it was torture. I also cleaned out the TB and MAF. If you have big hands forget it, the manifold has to come off. I will report back on mpg gain/throttle response etc. Right now I am on the internet trying to figure out where the Toyota engineer who designed the system lives......

Wow that really sucks.I have a 3RZ as well and my fuel filter has just been sitting on a shelf in the garage after I saw how hard it would be to change.
It makes no sense at all why the filter is in a different location for this motor than it would be on a 6 cyl.If you find that engineer post it up !
