Hey Guys,
Got a few issues with my 92 3VZ-E 4Runner.
I've got a large oil leak that I'm 90% sure is a rear main. How many hours is required to change the rear main seal? I've had the engine rebuilt 13000kms ago and it's been leaking a heap worse ever since about 6000kms when I changed from mineral to synthetic oil.
I've had some ridiculous quotes of up to $1400 but I'm sure thats way over the top.
I've also got a clicking in the front when the front drivers hub is locked in. No noise when the passegers is locked in and drivers is unlocked. I thought it was the CV so I replaced the driveshaft but it didn't fix it.
Could the issue be in the hub? or spider gears in the diff? would they click if it's only one side? (front is lifted with BJ spacers). If I pull the hub off what should I look for?
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated, Cheers
