3VZ-E swap to 5VZ-FE. How hard can it be...??????

Hey wats up guys, i have a couple of questions about this swap, hopefully someone will read this and help, this is what i know so far. I have a 95 4runner ( which i luv), with a multiple wheel drive options 2wd, 4wd etc. (U guys get the idea) and the engine is a v6 3.0 3vz-e which has terrible fuel economy and i want to swap it for a 2002 5vz-Fe engine which gives a couple more miles per gallon but has way more horse power. now my questions. Would the motor fit? What about the engine mounts? Would i lose the multiple wheel drive options? (i read something about that but not sure) would i need to buy a new cpu? what about other components oil pump ,fuel pump etc. please i would like to get an idea before anything....tnks

While it does have more HP, it does NOT have "way more" HP. The 3.4 is a better engine, yes but you truly will not see a giant increase in HP and gas mileage. The 3.0 is a perfectly good engine. I would not waste the money on a swap unless my 3.0 was dead.

the 3.0 and 3.4 are night and day. the 3.4 wins in every department.
As mentioned before, search google. I plan on doing the 3.4 swap when my 3.0 dies.:hungry:

Im with you brother, she might be slowish, and god knows these big ass tires dont help. But as long as she gets me from A-B and back again, I'm not doing surgery!!

The only way you'll see a big difference is if you do a 3.4 with the supercharger and urd 7th injector. Eventually when my engine goes to heaven, I'll swap it out with a 3.4 supercharged engine. I may do it sooner if I find a good deal on a donor vehicle.

if I could make about 20-30 more whp or wtq out of my 3.0, I don't think I'd bother with a swap. I did contemplate it though. have another block to machine and port.
