I ran out of gas the other night, so my buddy in his Heep pulled me home. He had extra gasoline, but it didnt smell right. Dumped it in anyways
. Turns out it was diesel, and 5 Gallons in a completly empty tank. My T4R didnt like that at all, so we pulled it to a gas station, filled the remaining 11 gallons full of 91 Octane. Wouldnt start, so I assumed it was flooded, which it was. Pulled the plugs and dry clanked it. Put the plugs back in, clanked while resetting the ECU, and it eventually started and ran. At first, it smoked.. alot. So bad, it filled the cab and i had to get out. Eventually though, it cleared up, my idle is a little lower than what it was (700rpm instead of 900). My fuel/air ratio gauge does read that my truck is getting proper mixture and that fuel injection is still working properly. So, it was time for a test drive. Took it around the block, and I was amazed. I was expecting my truck to drag its feet around, but instead, it has about twice the power it had before. Off the line and highway it crusies much faster. Hills i used to have to downshift for I dont anymore. The only time it smokes now is when i shift. Now this seems way to good to be true, but all of my gauges read normal, i have noticed nothing different under the hood or anything. Is there something that could possibly happen that hasnt already? I already burned half of the mixture and nothing bad yet. Just goodness. 3.Slow no more.
