I was returning from a road trip about 100 miles from home. I had the ECT engaged and was going up hill when the revs hit about 5k and then it started spewing a huge plume of smoke and oil. I pulled over to see that my whole truck was covered in oil the back window was covered and the sides, underneth, everywhere. can anyone shed some light on the problem. I havent got it cleaned off yet (the oil) due to cold weather. So it will be a few days till i can get under there to try and diagnose the problem. any one help on where to start? oil pressure switch, rings, filter gasket, im not sure. Thank you for any help!

Oil can come out of any number of places... Your best bet is to start with any work you've done recently. If you just had the oil changed, check the filler cap, filter and drain plug... If not, check those, then check pretty much every seam and gap in the engine...
I would also check the dipstick, if you're not low on oil, it may be from your transmission or another part of your drivetrain.
