4.0 V6 Brola Video

Well I finally got around to making some videos of my Brola exhaust. It is on a 2007 4.0 V6. I have had it on for a little over a year and i love it. It doesn't sound like a V8 but I think it sounds good for a V6. I have mentioned that there is not much drone but some recent back seet passengers on a trip to Lake Tahoe beg to differ. It is preaty loud at ~55-65 in 4th climing hills, but that is fine with me. On to the vids and pics.

Neighbor has the TRD/Borla setup on his Taco...sounds pretty good for a 6.

sorry for the thread bump but i'm wondering if the borla cat back was all bolt up on the v6 without any mods? i was under the impression that the borla was specific to a v8 only.

Not exactly, The exhaust pipes are identical on both versions. So the Borla kit (and every other cat-back kit for the T4R) can be either V6 or V8.

nope the v8 midpipe is shorter than the v6. how do i know? when i got rid of my magnaflow cat back system (which came with two pipes tailored for either v6 or v8), te only oem muffler i can dig up was one from a v8. the muffler shop had to weld on a lengthening piece to the midpipe since it was shorter than a v6 muffler.

that's why i was asking whether or not the borla system can accomidate both a v6 or v8 without having to mod it.
