I was wondering if anybody is running that setup? If so how does it perform. Why im asking is i found a elocker axle and front diff with everything 1k.

I had 285's with 4.10 and it was terrible. I have 4.88's now and I can't imagine running ANYTHING less. It's tolerable as it sits now. I would rather do 4.88's with an autolocker then 4.30's with an elocker.

Well the E-locker is worth it, so just swap it all in including the front diff. Just don't expect a huge difference in acceleration

Ive been running 285s with 4.30 ever since i got mu truck. With a CAI and an aftermarket muffler i have no power loss. I can whip stock runners.

Hold on,what exactly are you getting for your $1000? Is it a set of front 4.56's and an eLocker with no gears? Or are you getting front and rear 4.30's with an eLocker?

Do you still have the 5.29/285 setup. I'm assuming you have Chris's old rig with the 4 cylinder motor? I wouldn't cruise higher than 70 if that with that setup. What's your input

Yes i had Chris's old Runner i wouldnt push to hard. Running 70mph it was taching out at 3k

lol was it still slow as piss with all the armor/the fact that it's on 4 cylinders. i ask because I've got the same motor/manual transmission and I'm back and forth between 4.88/5.29's

It was a pig! I had both sets in there! I liked the 5.29's on the trail! City driving sucked Went thru the gears way to fast. But the back road driving was fun. But long straight roads sucked too. The 4.88's was about right thou. It was a good all round gear for that pig.

If it had 35's on it the 5.29's was great.
