So, I bit the bullet when a killer deal on Amazon came up and bought these. I'd HIGHLY recommend that no one purchase these until Magnaflow gets their manufacturing technique down on these things. I bought the left and right side initially. Both of them were built differently from each other as if it were two new guys trying to figure out how they go together. Holes were drilled differently for exhaust flow and they were manufactured two totally different ways. One of them was assembled to where the exhaust tube protruded into the mounting plate and made an uneven surface where it should be completely true to mount against the engine for a good seal. Someone had actually taken a grinder and tried to grind down the tube which further exacerbated the problem because they took chunks out of a flush surface, not to mention they still didn't even make the pipe flush with the mounting plate. I sent that one back and bought a new one. Even the third one was built differently than the other two I had received initially. The pipes protruded halfway into the main down pipe which would significantly constrict airlflow, the slag from welding it together wasn't cleaned out of the bolt holes on any of the three, and best of all, the holes they tried to drill for the VVTi emissions pipe was completely blocked because they didn't drill it correctly. Then they also mounted the pipes that feed into the main pipe to aim forward instead of straight or towards the rear which would cause the exhaust to flow towards the front of the engine. They also left significant gaps between the mounting plate and the pipes that they welded onto them creating a pocket for exhaust to get trapped in. Obviously, there was absolutely ZERO QC check on these before they left the facility, and I would laugh if they tried to tell me they had any sort of consistent method of manufacturing these things. What A Joke!!!
I've emailed Magnaflow twice about these and even sent pictures of all the flaws. After two full months, still no response. WOW!
STAY AWAY FROM THESE POSs until Magnaflow steps up and produces a quality product... if they ever do...
