4-Corners 4runner Meet 2011 ??

Just throwing around the idea of the an 4runner meet next year in Ouray, Colorado for the 4-Corner states (Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico) 4runner owners.

Any interst??

Event Dates Possiblities

These are the dates that are being considered. Monday is Labor Day next year.

Choice 1: September 2-5 (Friday-Monday) - this is what I thinking
Choice 2: September 2-6 (Friday-Tuesday)
Choice 3: September 1-6 (Thrusday-Tuesday)
Choice 4: September 1-5 (Thrusday-Monday)
 
I just found this thread so I hope this is still active. Anyway I'd definitely be up for doing this trip. The 1st option sounds great to me
 
I here Ouray is a great camping area. I have a friend that goses up there a lot. Sounds like it would be a lot of fun. What a long drive from socal.
 
Why not try for a little earlier like in August since the weather will more likely be a bit warmer plus some of us might have kids in school to consider?
 
Date: September 2-5 (Friday-Monday), 2011. Monday the 5th will be reserved for a travel day to allow people to get home. September 1st I have something else in the works for that day if I can swing it.

Location: Ouray, Colorado

Trails/Day:

Thrusday: Travel - I'll be hiking up to Lower Blue Lakes up Yankee Boy Basin in the afternoon (pending)
Friday: Corkscrew Gulch to Huricanne Pass to California Pass to Animas Fork
Saturday: Black Bear Pass and Imogene
Sunday: Yankee Boy Basin then to Governor Basin (maybe Syndey Basin as well), After noon Ophir to Alta Ghost Town then back to Ouray via hwy 62.
Monday: Head for home, detour along the Escalante Rim Trail (about 1hr)

Meeting Location (830 am is the meet up times on all runs, will hang around for about 15 minutes before heading out):

Friday: Corkscrew Gulch trail head at the sign for Idarado Min and the tailings pile on US 550 (FR 886), Black Bear Pass TH is just a little further north for Saturday
Saturday: Black Bear Pass trail head, just beyond the summit marker on red mountain (FR 823) off of Hwy 550, N37*53.81' W107*42.78'
Sunday: Along Camp Bird Road and Hwy 550 just outside of Ouray

Camping Locations:

KOA - Ouray KOA | Camping in Colorado | KOA Campgrounds (Stayed here my first trip though and it wasn't really noisey and outside of town. Plus it was nice to have a hot shower after being on the trail all day).

I'll be out there next week in my LX450 since I'm in the middle of a 3.4L swap on my 4runner. Went last year in my Tacoma and it was awesome. Here are some of our pics on Black Bear, Imogene, and Yankee Boy as motivation to make the trip
