I just purchased my '95 4runner this month and am wanting to make it into a good off-roader. I want at least a 4inch suspension lift for the front only (I've already got the rear figured out for my needs). So far, the only kits I've found are full front and rear kits. The front setup is torsion bars and it's a V-6 standard trans model. Does anyone have an answer or idea for my problem? Thanks for any help I can get.

A 4" lift is pretty tricky with 4wd. The only quality fabricators that im familiar with that provide around 4" is Total Chaos. They use a half axle from a T100 which allows 12" of wheel travel. There a bit over a grand but its your next best option besides a solid axle swap.
If you arent doing any serious off roading and want to save some cash. The Superlifts will give you enough clearance for the 35's but can be very unstable since they just lower the front diff and stock suspension. With a raised center of gravity and no gain of wheel travel/articulation up front and lots in the rear, things can get pretty tipsy, especially with a body lift.

Thanks for the info. I've got some new ideas now. The cool thing (most everyone else will think is uncool) is that I live in Louisiana and hills and or rocks are no where near here. This means that articulation isn't as much a concern and high center of gravity won't be much of a problem. I am an occasional off-roader in the mud, but for the most part an in-city driver who loves the looks of 4x4's with big tires. One day I will be able to dump a ton of money into my rig and use it for serious off-roading. Thanks again.
