4 LO Beeping

Hi All,

Is my 4th gen suppose to be beeping when I am in 4LO. I thought it was beeping to let me know the VSC is turned off, but I am starting to think I am doing something wrong.

Anyone have advice?

The beeping indicates you have not properly engaged 4lo. Try the steps below:

1). come to a complete stop and hold down the brake peddle
2). put the 4runner in N
3). turn the dial to 4 low
4). Enjoy

Exactly right. The "4lo" light will turn solid when the system is engaged. One it is engaged, you are free to put the tranny in any gear, but back to neutral to shift to 4hi, or 2hi.
