4 Runner Headroom w/ Sunroof

I have been checking out 4 Runners in the local lots, all have sunroofs except for the 4x2's. My problem - I think I'm an average height or close to it (6'1") but I just don't seem to have enough head room with the sunroof option. Dealers say that there are no 4x4's to be found without. What to do??

1. Order without sunroof (Can it be done)?

2. Am I missing a seat height adjustment?

Am I the only one???? This is definately a deal killer.

you are not the only one with that problem. there is a seat hieght adjustment on the limiteds. i dont know about the others. if that doesn't work for you, i guess you can try to order one.

You could have gotten a 2004 4Runner 4X4 without a sunroof. I do not think you can get it now because they are not taking anymore orders for the 2004. They are now transitioning over to the 2005 models. Anyway, the dealer will always try to sell you what is all ready on their lot.

On my '04 Sport 4x4, the seat is height adjustable...manually though.

If the sport seat is anything like my SR5, the so-called height adjustment is minimal at best. I think mine only changes about 3/4" total, and I would like three times that much.

I am 6'2 and have plenty of room! I checked out quite a few vehicles and this one has as much headroom as the best ones. Just adjust the seat height and all the adjustments including the steering wheel to your level--no problem. Awesome vehicle too- so glad I switched from the Jeeps I had bought for the last 20 years!

Same here. I am 6'2" and have plenty of room also.

Best vehicle I've ever owned, by far.

I'm 6'4" and just BARELY have enough headroom with the sunroof on my Limited. My seat is all the way down and the seatback is reclined quite a bit. My old RAV4 had at least 1-2 inches more headroom (it had a sunroof also). It's the only thing that bugs me about the 4runner...but then again, I've gotten used to the new reclined seating position and it doesn't bother me as much anymore.

I'm 4' 3" and I'm ticked-off because I can't reach the moonroof control unless I stand up on the seat!

Headroom is fine, though. :satan:
