I have NEVER had an issue with my 1990 4 runner 4wd starting. The other morning I came out to start it and it would not start. Plenty of juice, it just wouldnt fire. This has never happened before. Been running great, no problems at all. This happened overnite.... I'm stumped. Can anyone give me any suggestions on what to check?
4 Runner wont start, can someone please help???

determin if its getting the 3 most basic things it needs
Fuel
Air
Spark
pull out a spark plug and see if it is wet with fuel, then ground it to the engine and crank the motor to see if the plug is getting spark you should see it easy, with these two checked and verified for all 4 cylinders (or 6) you are left with sensors like MAF and others that when they go bad they wont allow the engine to start.

on my 1st gen it is located just below the dash at the kick panel on the drivers side, so left of the pedals
MAF = Mass air Flow sensor is located at the air filter. but when that goes bad usually the truck will run for about 1 to 2 seconds then die
^Correcting myself^ It will only run for a few seconds and die if the MAF flapper is corroded and stuck shut (cutting off air). there can still be a malfuntion in the MAF and it still run or maybe possibly not run

also check your air box to make sure a mouse or somthing didnt nest in there and plug it up, or make sure some kid didnt stuff your tail pipe with somthing, my buddy bought a truck for 500 bucks because it wouldnt start. he pulled a pinecone outa the tailpipe started it in front of the guy he bought it from and drove off
