4 Wheel Alignment w/ LIFT

Well I have a 2000 4Runner 4x4 limited. I've had my PP coil springs on for about 6 months along with my Revos.

I have been getting really bad tire wear with my lift. Front tires seem to have excess tire wear on outer edge.

I always check tire pressure (run at 35psi) and rotate/balance on schedule.

I decided today to take my truck to the dealer for a 4 wheel alignment. The tech calls me back a couple hours later saying he can't get the vehicle completely alligned because of the lift. He says its better than before though. They also inform me with my lift that I will be going through tires very fast.

So is this just because I took it to a dealer?? What is everyone elses experience with the Performance Products coils?

check the "toe camber" this is what cuse the outter tire wear. i dont think you can really do an alignment on the rear. other has fixed the problem by doing this Toe Camber adjustment. Dealers are not specialized in a lifted truck like 4wheels shops.

I hope they didn't actually charge you for a 4 wheel alignment. If so, you pretty much got ripped off.

Like other rear solid axles vehicles, the 4Runner can only have a thrust angle alignment, because there are no rear alignment adjustments.

At toyteclifts.com they sell spacer lifts and coil lifts and they recommend your camber be set to zero and your toe be set to .04 degrees. They have it on their FAQ page.
