4crawler lift issue

So i installed the 4crawler body lift not to long ago, and my TJM 15 front bumper is now sitting lower than the rest of the body (about an inch or so). It didn't bug me at first but now its really making me mad! Does anyone know what kind of brackets, or what i need to do to raise it back to the height of the rest of the car? The brackets that came with the kit are for the stock bumper and they wont work...

here's a pic

Can you remove the bullbar (leaving the chassis brackets bolted to thte chassis) and drill new holes in either the brackets (an inch lower than the originals) or the plates in the bullbar (an inch higher)?
Alternatively, you could paint the metal black that you can see between the bullbar and the fenders black to help hide the gap.

thanks for the reply!

Those are excellent ideas. I dont think i can go lower because the brackets bolt from underneath as well as on the sides, maybe that would work if i got longer bolts for the bottom ones?

I emailed 4crawler and he said that i can send him photos and dimensions of the brackets and he can give me a quote for custom ones.

If you bought your TJM from Steve @ Sonoran Steel, he offers custom mounts to accomodate a BL.

scoll about half way down the page - http://sonoransteel.com/store_tjm_bullbars.html

I'm in the same boat as you...I now have a small gap inbetween my TJM and body after we installed a 1" BL. I'm also looking to get a set of custom mounts to bring the TJM back up in line. Just have to find time to get it done:

thanks a lot for the link! I've been asking a lot of different people and one person said to slot the mount holes. But if i can just strait up by some brackets, i'd much rather do that.

Thanks again man! and great looking 4runner!
