4H/4L - A-trac/crawl control & Multi-terrain settings?

So from my understanding A-trac, crawl control & Multi-terrain settings are only to be used in 4L. The only setting that can be used on 4H is the Multi-terrain setting for sand and mud. Is this correct?

So if Multi-terrain setting for sand and mud can be used in 4H when would it be okay to engage Multi-terrain setting for sand and mud? Max recommended speeds to use and engage it?

Thinking of snow driving and on the highway.

Then hopefully somebody can give me more detail for Multi-terrain setting for sand and mud. So far it seems it can be activated up to 50 miles an hour. I just don't know whether that's ideal, or if it could be used for higher speeds than that? LOL

No, it can only be activated while stopped or barely rolling. However, it can be canceled at any time.

It is a great idea that they made it available in 4H.

Thank you this is really helpful. I'll need it for when there's heavy snow so I'll just make sure to activate it for my ride home from work rather than mid-trip. hopefully it's not an issue leaving it on for a 45 minute to an hour ride. LOL

I am pretty sure it can be used indefinitely in 4wd, just as road traction control is always on in 2wd. The difference is that if you turn the engine off, it turns off.

I find it more effective than A-trac in rock and loose terrain (when not using the rear diff at all) but I have not really seen the kind of mud or snow that would test it. I am sure it will perform admirably.

So to clarify: I can specifically use only the Multi-terrain setting (first setting) for sand and mud in 4H indefinitely (The rest i know is for 4L exclusively). But to engage the sand/mud setting i must be at a stop.
