4R inverter pure sine wave?

Does anyone know if the factory inverter on a 5th gen LE 4R is a pure sine wave or a modified sine wave? I found this thread, but it does not address factory inverters.

I want to run some Alien Bees studio lights for location photography, and the manual cautions against using anything but pure sine wave.

I'm no expert on this, but, i believe some other guys have chimed in, in the past. From what i recall a pure sine wave inverter is/was very expensive, in which case i do not think the factory inverter is expensive, thus, i doubt it is a pure sine wave inverter.

LOL that is my thread i started by the way. There are a couple of links in that thread, that link to other guys who installed their own inverters in their cars, and i believe in those threads is where the pure sine wave inverters are discussed.

I really doubt it's a pure sine wave since it's factory. If you have any money invested in those lights I suggest you source your own inverter.

I found it to be much more cost effective to just buy the vagabond units and called it a day.. :\

I know you're right, but I'm cheap and I was hoping that I could get away with it.
