4runner 2001 base actuator question

what is the 2 switch on the transfer case actuator .

because I have the vsc trac light on and check engine so I went to a garage and the guys told me the trouble it is a bad contact on the vsc trac switch so I am looking for that switch . I told me it is suppose to be on the rear diff or at the transfer case .

if any can help me with that issues

I don't know offhand but did you check in the FSM diagrams? Did you get a particular CEL?

From a quick glance over the highlevel diagrams there are no VSC parts on either the rear or center diffs. Wonder what they're talking about?
