4Runner 2003 Seat Cover Stretching

I have a 2003 4Runner with cloth seat covers. I noticed the other day cleaning out the interior back that the lower front seat backside covers are stretching outward. Where your feet might be located, if sitting in the back, there is a flap that would normally be tucked under the seat now lowered and starting to stck out. Both sides of the front seats. Have you seen this before ?

There is an elastic band on the flap that goes to a plastic piece under the seat. Check to see if the elastic is stretching or if it's come loose.

That flap is held on to the seat using two elastic strings, check to make sure they haven't come loose. Sometimes the hook under the seat will bend a little outwards. Also, if the seats are reclined back a lot, it tends to stretch out the elastic.

Thanks ! I will check later today. I think the elastic straps are stretched.

Yea my elastic straps were completely stretched out one year after one purchase. I zip-tied mine up under there.

I also cleaned my MAF for the first time thanks to others posting about here in this great forum..

Time to plan a gear oil change over to mobil 1.
