4runner 2nd to 3rd front bumper swap

I am intirested in a 92 4runner with light front end damage. I need to replace the lights, bumper, and hood. I was looking at the prices and they are the almost the same price for 3rd gen limited parts which I think look much better. I was wondering if anyone has tried a frontend conversion. If I got 3rd gen fenders, bumper, headlights, and a hood; would they bolt up? What about rear bumper? Door molding? I know the rear hatch was changed in the 3rd gen, but was that all or is it a totaly different car?

different trucks....but i guess it is possible to put a 3rd gen bumper, valance on 2nd gen....not sure how labor intensive though. probably not a straigt "bolt-on"deal, but possible....nice pic here

That looks like crap.

Look at how the front bumper extends into the wheel well

Then you have a color matched front and chrome rear.YUK

Whats the point. if you want the look of a 3rd Gen then get one.
