I think I've decided to get a Sport Edition 4Runner V8. Originally I wanted the Limited, but I think that after being spoiled by my aftermarket system in my Honda Accord Coupe, I don't think the OEM JBL system will satisfy my needs. Here's what I plan to get for Audio/Video upgrades:
-Eclipse AVN5435 Navigation/DVD with Rearview Camera (how hard is it to install the rearview camera?)
-Diamond Audio Speakers (are these the best?)
I don't know which amps to go with to power the speakers. I think people are pretty happy with the JL Audio W7 line and it seems the powerwedge is a good all in one solution for that. Thinking about getting the Vizualogic Headrest Monitors as well. I'm looking to probably spend 4K including install, and wondering if that's a realistic budget for what I want to get?
I'm using the money saved from getting a Limited to get a Sport Edition with a killer sound system. I need to hook up my iPod 40GB Photo as well, so I probably need some aux connector. Also wondering if I can somehow control some basic audio controls with the steering wheel even with an aftermarket system.
Also, please, for people in the Bay Area, California, can you guys recommend any good installers? I want a good job done right, since I'm not too experienced with installing car audio (but I know how to build computers).
