4Runner Bumper Trim, Sport (pic)

Has anyone installed this trim bumper on your '05 4Runner? How does it looks in person and is it easy to install? Is there any hole need to be drilled? Thanks in advance.

I don't have one, but many members on the forums do. I personally like the look of it, but it's not very strong and feels like it would be damaged easily.

Yes, you'll have to drill holes into the bumper, I believe 2 on each side.

It does look nice on a black car.... shame it's a $500 piece of plastic though.

I like the look of it on my silver 4Runner but that is all it is good for. It is not very strong at all. My 2003 had one as well but it didn't hold up to well. I came out to my truck one day and there was a huge hole in the bottom of it. It was probably caused by someone backing into my bumper. Once you install it, there will be permanent holes in your bumper.

Here is a picture of the damage to the sport bumper of my old truck. You can see it is only made of plastic.

Yeah its just for looks. I am selling the one I have. It has a small crack on it. If anyone wants it drop me a line and make an offer.

Here is the crack. It's right where the silver and black meet. Look over the photo and make me an offer. I payed $575 for it less than a year ago. Selling to off-set the cost I payed for the OME suspension I just got.
