4Runner delivery hold

The silence is weird isn't it?

Yep, it is really strange. Sent my dealer an email yesterday morning after not getting an answer for over a week. He responded right away that he would get back with me but have not heard anything.

I wasn't asking for a date of arrival, just an explanation of the hold.

I am waiting on my white TRD pro now. Two days ago my dealer called and said it is all set for delivery mid-November. Today I got a text saying that the gst at the port said that they have all been put on TMS mandated quality hold with delivery date unavailable. Finished by saying "who knows when it will be delivered." But I do have a vin and know it is at the port in Houston......

My dealer said TMS called him Tuesday and said the port would release them sometime around November 12th. Mine is also stuck at the port in Houston.

Mines not a trdp but it's been at the rail yard 3 hrs away from me for a week now. Just got pushed back again and they say another week. Killing me!

My white TRDP has been ordered in PA for 2 months now. It was supposed to be here 27th. But the dealer keeps telling me it was checked in at port on the 16th and hasn't moved.

Does anyone know what port the trucks in the NE come from? I'm wondering if its in the Florida port spoke about in this post.

My sales rep just called me to let me know that there is an indefinite hold and that all TRD Pro's need to have their tires replaced! Not sure if something was lost in translation between the logistics manager and the folks they spoke to. Interesting to hear what others are told.

My TRD Pro arrived at my dealership today with 1 mile on it. It had been sitting at port for quite some time. It has a build date of 8/14. I wasn't expecting it for a few weeks based on info on this forum, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got the call from the dealer this afternoon. I have all of 9 miles on it now :)

Thanks for the update. I think it's time Toyota put out an official statement to set the record straight.

Agreed. Not sure how some people are getting theirs while others, including myself, have been waiting on theirs at the port for 2-3 plus weeks now without really a definitive answer as to why.

Check out Carolina roscoe thread he got his from port yesterday
Mine apparently has been on hold since the 16th
No info maybe they will call tomorrow and say come get it.

I asked my new car manager today and sounds like with the finite amount of vehicles available they are still figuring out allocation numbers and most likely oversold (dealers put in more locates/orders than they'll be allocated)

I have been watching the recall and service bulletins on the site I can locate vehicles with have not seen any other info. It does seem weird how some 4Runners are coming through lightning fast and others don't even confirm that the boat it's on is at port.
I can confirm that watching mine daily it moved quickly from port to port processing to rail and departure. Portland, OR to Chicago Region

If you have a VIN and are dying for updates I am more than happy to check in the mornings and administer updates for your T4R to satisfy your OCD like I do.

:hatsoff:

This is so crazy. No one seems to be able to get a straight answer out of anyone, and the one guy who actually knew what was going on has not been heard from all week. I hope Toyota didn't send JM4runner to the gulag!

Waiting on TRD PRO

im in the same boat no pun intended. Mine was scheduled to be here on 10/22 and I keep getting the same answer. It's at the port in Jacksonville. It shows now that it will be here on 11/1. They keep moving it out 2 days every time the due date gets here. Does anyone have a solid answer of why they are being held back. Thanks for all the help

My VIN is JTEBU5JR8F5205547. Can you please give me an update on this one? I have been told it should be here around 11/12. But maybe you can confirm that for me. Thanks!
