What would you buy if they discontinued the 4runner?

I will start first, I would get the Toyota Land Cruiser.

HAAHA Too late now! I already own one so nothing! now if they outlaw them... they will just have to come and take it from me.:uzi::gun4::AK47::50cal::flamethrwoer2::sniper::gun6:

Agreed, used 4Runner or Land Cruiser! Might have to check out an FJ, but that probably wouldnt work out for size reasons. Hate to say it, but I MIGHT even consider the current generation of Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I just died. This was perhaps the most evil thing to do man, but I would stick with used 4runners, and like talonjade said, if they are outlawed then maybe maybe a Taco/Tundra or something off the Jeep line up.

I'd figure out how to get one of these (with the diesel V8) imported to the US. They should be selling them here anyhow… :welcome:

It wouldn't break my heart much if 4Runner was discontinued. I'm honestly not a fan of the 4th and 5th gen rigs, I think they're too big and getting away from the soul of the truck, and I see any 6th gen as probably trending worse.

Of course, 4th and 5th gen owners probably think my little gen one is horribly antiquated and not at all what the 4Runner truck is really about, but that's ok. That's why they drive late models and I drive a rattletrap. :)

In My Opinion, the Gen 5 is a discontinued 4Runner.

I'll play your silly little game, sunshine, Yaol hal hul (John Wayne voice) ...wink

I would not choose to buy a 5th gen 4runner for three reasons.

1 - They made it larger without keeping the same engine options.

2 - No Live Axel... front or rear. Replacing CV Boots on one axle is all I can take. Two axles? Done.

3 - The window controls placed on the driver's side window sill are vulnerable.

Don't get me wrong. I love 4runners. The 5th generation is a huge disappointment. What will be next?

Tundra? Ford F150?

:( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I'd go back to more street performance oriented car (WRX,Genesis,MazdaSpeed) but since that won't happen i still see a 5th gen in my future.

If they can't come up with a different engine in the 5th gen they may as well let the 4runner die, also memory seat and power lift gate etc.. It does not appeal to me any more.

I say we go over to Gecko123 place and maybe T P his entire front yard, then take plastic wrap and wrap his entire house, that stopped my heart for a second too,
it was a good one tho:flamethrwoer2::flamethrwoer2:

I don't know where you are getting your facts from, but crawl under a 5th gen, and you will see it's the same solid axle they have always used. Plus that 4.0 is pretty quick, the power to weight ratio is better than the 3rd gen and anything prior to that
