4runner front humming sound

i did alot of reading and i found nothing
my (new) 96 4runner make a cyclic sound in the front, kind of hum hum hum
it start at about 40mph and is speed related ,the faster i go the faster is the sound, in gear or neutral or clutch depress it keep on humming at any rpm.

new balljoint ,new front caliper and disc, diferent tire and wheel combo and it still humming ,so i remove the front drive shaft and it stop making noise

u joint are tight and full of grease and the shaft is not bend ,do you think its out of ballance?

ther is some up and down play where the axle met the diff ,is my front diff need overhaul?

Possibly in need of an alignment? New shocks?

Differential fluid? Maybe some bearings are bad somewhere?

The sound stops with the front driveshaft off?

That shouldn't make a difference since it shouldn't be turning when driving in 2wd mode. Are you driving it in 2wd or 4wd?

With ADD, both driveshafts spin. The connection is in the diff.

I don't want to get too far off subject with OP's issue but can you give me a link to explain ADD. not sure if I have it or not as I can turn my driveshaft freely to lubricate zerks.

it is not the shock or aligment because it stop with the driveshaft remove
it is an ADD and the driveshaft is free in 2wd (turn by hand ) but it is turning when drive (i paint a red dot on it and drive in 2wd and the dot change of position)

you can turn it by hand because the front diff is open and the power go to the ADD side ,but when you drive the vehicule ,the driver side wheel transfer rotation to the driveshaft because this side dont have ADD

Bearings in your front diff. May get lucky and changing the fluid in the diff might quiet it down. The front diff in my Yukon was humming forever, probably for over 100K miles before I got it rebuilt.
