4Runner marketing ads

Dingo! Can you e-mail me those 2nd gen brochures?

Sorry dude, I certainly would if I had them, but I don't have the actual print ads at any higher resolution. I just find them around the net digitally. I only have some old 1st gen ads from my old National Geographic magazines. I'll ask my coworkers if they have any from their 4runners. If they do I'll scan and post them. I'll let you know.

APPEND: Ok, well another find - 3rd gen. I am just kind of taken back that I've never really come across most of these ads years ago.

damn! you already found it! today, I was in class and I spotted an old National Geographic magazine from March 97, the back of the thing was this ad.

I took it... lol.

It's going to be somewhere with other 4runner memorabilia, I swear! I just wish it was a 99...

:roadkill:
It sure would be nice if ya'll would post real pictures instead of links...the links to photobucket have expired and now we can't see the ads!

AWESOME

that is some seriously classic shit!
Why would they make such bold commercials if there werent some balls to back em up?! They wouldn't :D

i loved the first two, but that last one was the best!! Nothing soft gets in! I dont own crocs ;)

Chevy builds the Corvettes, even though they're not practical, because people (men) go to the dealership to see the 'vettes, yet wind up buying a Cobalt, Impala, etc. Marketing an ideal sets the tone, the actual product is secondary in the process..

Brochure

I have the original 1989 4Runner / Land Cruiser brochure from when I bought my truck. Will scan it next week at work and post it here.

I guess if Toyota shows the latest 4Runner stuck in traffic while going to the office or mall ( which is what 99% of owners use them for) it would not make a very appealing sales pitch.:)
