4runner owners - who are you?

I am 57 and retired. Our 03 4runner was our main transportation and has been off road all over the western United States in places like Moab, Utah, across the Rockies in Colorado and all over Arizona and California. It now has 66k miles on it. I bought a new 2011 Avalon and use it for our longer trips when there will be no off roading. The 4runner is now my off road vehicle going on weekly rides with freinds in the desert and for running local errands. I plan to keep it a long time.

I'm 38 living in Southern California, but am originally from NY and spent 10 years in Vermont. I work for Fox Racing, love all things with 2 wheels and a motor, and have been snowboarding for 23 years (or something like that). In a past life, I traveled around the country (and Japan) building snowboard parks and halfpipes.
The 4Runner is my daily driver, and I usually have a trailer or hitch rack hooked up full of motorcycles. When I purchased the 4Runner, I was still in Vermont and chose it over a Tundra in order to keep all my stuff dry since it seemed to be colder more of the year than it was warm. If I bought it in SoCal, my choice might have been different, but I'm still happy with the 4Runner. I'm now slowly building it up, as I've caught the off-roading bug!

I travel to national parks (i.e. Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Crater Lake, Zion, Death Valley, etc.) and verify properties are complying with our policies and procedures. I also get to spend the weekends there if I choose and see all the beauty.

'94 Toyota Celica from 16-24: several sets of rims, new sound system, gReddy exhaust, 1.5" drop, illegal tint, carbon fiber dash (everything done in highschool) - sold for $700 with 240k miles
'06 Lexus IS350: fully loaded V-6 306hp, replaced Mark Levinson system with Audio Control, Hifonics, JBL, Infinity, Boston Acoustic, and CDT Audio components, just hooked up 12'' Kicker L5, total system output before 125w (RMS?), system output now 1100w RMS - still have but looking to sell so I can focus on...

I'm 30 years old, and I'm an IT Systems Architect, the 4Runner is my daily driver / beater. Just switched from a 2003 Sport V6 to a 2008 SR5 V6. Aside from daily city driving, I like to take my 4Runner camping in the mountains, and wheel it around my buddy's farm.

I'm 31, AD Air Force as an instructor teaching Undergraduate Cyber Training. Currently working on my Masters in Information Security & Assurance. On a side note, I am so ready for school to be done.

I daily drive my G35C and the 4runner sits in the garage. I have too many toys and just recently decided to sell my motorcycles and get a Ducati Streetfighter. My wife has an 09 AWD TL which is our roadtrip car becuase its pretty comfy!

31 yrs handsome. Work in fresh produce import/export company. I try not to use the 4R for commuting, but it happens a lot anyway. I own 2 VW corrado's: a 1993 with a supercharged VR6 street car and a 1990 with a 2001 1.8t swap track car. That puppy runs pretty quick laps at the track and is grouped with 911's, vette's, M3's, viper's, V8 ferrari's etc. It's fun.

aside from cars/racing I am a die hard alpine skier, which is where most of the miles on my 4R come from, but also a pretty avid mountain biker as well.

I'm 20 years old. I went to college when I was 17 for Aircraft Maintenance and graduated 2 years later. Five days after my graduation I got a job working as an apprentice maintenance engineer in the artic of northern Quebec. I work 21 days on, 21 days off and so far I love it, everyday is a new adventure!

My 03 Limited is my second car, my first was a 95 Corolla which I bought when I was 15 for $150. Fixed it up, it was a great little car, cheap and reliable but now that I'm working full-time I wanted something nicer and thats why I'm here.

I'm a United States Marine, and I have been in for 10 years. I'm 30 years old and currently on a deployment with the 11th MEU. My job in the USMC is to fix and fly on helicopters. I commute 72 miles a day round trip in my v8, but it is well worth it.

I'm 18 next month. High school student in North East Mass. Going for a PhD in psychology in the next 8 years.

I own a record label and was able to buy my 2005 Sport V6 with 20k miles for my first car, cash (with under-the-table, tax-free money) . It's my daily driver, and I'd LOVE to wheel it, but the Boston area has absolutely no off roadable terrain.

I used to shoot competitively, was in young marines, in the process of joining the USMC when I broke my back snowboarding.

I'm a 48 yo male, a 20+ year Navy veteran and just retired last year! Been all over the world on Uncle Sam's dime and now leaving the deployments to the young(er) guys!
