4runner rancho 9000xl with a lift?

I have just purchased shocks and struts for my 2000 4runner v6 4x4

they are the 9000XL part numbers
Front Struts = Part Number RS999763
Rear Shocks = Part Number RS999187

and now I'm thinking I want maybe a 1-2 inch lift maybe 2.5 but can I use these? Does anyone know if I can use these with a lift? I tow a 19 foot boat and I can really use the lift, because although my t4r doesn't sag normally, with the boat or even jet ski's it really sags.

I don't want spacers because I just hear people say that they mess up your suspension in the long run, does anyone know if I can use these with LC lift everyone talks about?

I hope I"m in the right section, thnx in advance.

I've got them on mine with a 1.5-2" lift. ome 881's/906's. Technically, they are for 0-1" of lift, but I haven't had any issues with mild wheeling. I would think 3" would be too much.

This is my 1st anything on my car's suspension. So I'm wondering if I add the 906 rear and 881's front coils, will this give me that 1.5-2"? or do I need something else?

I already have the ranchos and I want to give it that look and stiffness in the rear are these all I need?

Thanks man I appreciate it.

You just want the 881's up front (no top out spacer) and the 906's in the rear. HOWEVER, don't make the mistake that I did. Be sure to purchase the 1/4" trim packer spacer from Toytec. You'll want to put this on the driver side strut as it will sag nearly 1/2" lower than the passenger side without it. Ask me how I know....

I would also pay special attention to your CV axle boots after you install the springs. Mine started leaking a tiny bit of grease and I put off fixing it until this weekend when I noticed that the boot had completely torn. Now the axle clicks when rotated and needs to be replaced. uggh...

Hopefully my mistakes can help you out.

I installed 906's without any trim packers and they are very even (1/4in difference).

You're correct. I was referring to the 881's up front. No trim packer required for rear. Just the front. Thanks for the clarification.

So will this ruin the cv boots very often or anything else? I know it happened to your right away, but I'm wondering if it was something else.

The story here is pretty common. The CV axles are used to being at a certain angle forever, and when a new angle is imposed, it causes the boot to slip or allow some grease to escape. Over time the boot can even tear. This is why some people install diff drops, which effectively lowers the front differential ~1". I didn't think this was entirely necessary with my mild lift, and I also read many people who still experienced the same issue with the diff drop installed. For this reason, I went without it.

If you stay on top of the CV boots and make sure to reclamp them if necessary (at the first time of grease), I think you'll be fine.
