Yea so true! I have 347,000 miles on mine and until a couple of years ago, it was all highway miles. I fell into the; "Parents are typically logging tons of miles shuttling their kids from one activity to the next and often using these cars for long trips as well.” YUP!!

Except I'm also a premier level soccer coach (read: travelling team!) and have lost track of all the soccer fields I've been too.

I ran track as a kid because of this... "If you want to play sports, you need to find a way to get there." "I'm not driving you across town just so you can play with your friends. There's a club right here in town." "When you pay the bills, then you can do what you want." (I became a good miler! Almost a sub-4. Sebastian Coe "Sebcoe"was my hero back in the day.)

Regardless of how it's used, it's a damn reliable vehicle. That's what I took away from that article (not that I didn't know it beforehand). 347K miles?! Damn! How many timing belts have you been through?

I just did my third one at 309k. Looked practically brand new still.
 
Love the Jade Green...mine is the same color. I don't see any down here in Florida in that color. I've always wanted a Sport because of the hood and color matched grill and flares but I don't like the gold badging. Did it come that way or did you order it like that?
 
Fleet trucks are more likely to see required maintenance. The driver is not likely paying the maintenance. Allows trucks to last longer. 4runner was also top 10 with Consumer Reports.

I ordered it that way. It was the thing to do back then in the 90's and early 2000's. I decided to keep mine the way they are only because I didn't want to "follow the crowd" so to speak. Seems the current trend is to de-badge or plasti-dip everything. Those look good too. Some of my favorite T4R's on here are the unique ones with their own flavor or spalsh of color. Love the creativity.

Maybe not. Dunno about their cars, but I know both Ford and Chevy put remarkably reliable gas engines in their trucks as well. My two F-350's have 250K - 300K respectively and have been nearly trouble free. I see plenty of 250-350K Chevys on jobsites and their owners are similarly impressed.
 
Not affiliated with this website, but I have been a member for 9 years. It is a website that just tracks reliability by asking you quarterly for your mileage, and if you had any repairs made. If you have, it then asks what kind of repairs.

You just put Ford and reliable in the same sentence. Impressive mileage though on your F-350's for sure.

I had an estimated 225,000mi on my 95' Ranger when I sold it, and I saw it on the road 2 years later.

It was very reliable other than it liked to eat front wheel bearings!
