Hi all,
As of tonight, I’ve had my new 4Runner for seven days. I reckon it’s time for its first addition. So today, my new remote start kit arrived:
Remote Start for 2010 - 2019 Toyota 4Runner - 100% Plug & Play - G KEY – Accessorides
Took a whopping 20 minutes to install and program. It actually took longer to tie up the cables and brain box than it did to get it working. I just installed the unit without any additional options. It’s also available with long range remotes as well as a cellular app interface. Mine just uses the factory keyed remote. Push the lock button three times and it starts. Easy peasy.
Quick look at the parts:
No need to recreate the wheel as I simply followed the directions and this guy’s lead:

Now I’m ready for winter!
