Yes there will be a group buy...We cant get the plastic to work as planned. On the trail it works amazing nice smooth... But the plastic wont stay flat.. As it heats up with the sun it starts to get wavy.. This means either A. we jump up in plastic thickness $$$$ or B.) We ditch the plastic and make it a steel cover that can be replaced.. If we do that it will bring the cost down on our end over 100.00 bucks, That means our cost to you would be around the 375.00 range instead of the 500.00 range..

Very nice sliders Jimmy, that "Plastic slider plate" idea is really good! How bout trying out a thicker set of that plastic, trail testing it hardcore and just giving the option of having that material or a removable metal plate along with the price difference. But then again I'm not the one that has to pay for the bills at the shop either lol...
 
What are the disadvantages of metal plates? It's cheaper and it will last longer. Is it weight? Or not as frictionless as plastic?
 
One set of plastic ( driver & passenger) adds 165.00 to the build price. That is my price after they are cut ( water jet) and then machined to sit flush. So you can see it adds a lots to the over all cost. Jumping up to thicker plastic will jump up the price as well. The first set of these we made were out of thicker metal and had no plastic. The owner loves them and has had no problems with just the metal. The plastic works great on our race buggies and dedicated rock crawlers. I think its a great idea but the average weekend wheeler might not want to pay the extra cost.
