4Runner slight buck after stop

After a stop, my 4runner will sometimes slightly buck forward. Almost as if it was being put in gear. It happens when I take my foot off the brake & get ready to press the gas pedal. I cannot duplicate it every time, or every day. I've never had a vehicle do this before. Should I be concerned? It doesn't seem right. Any help will be appreciated.

Was our A/C (Air Conditioning) on?

If I'm at a red light & turn on the A/C...the vehicle wants to creep forward.
 
Good way to put it, I have checked my rear view mirror a couple times to see if someone bumped me. I have not got used to it yet as only had t4r since Feb. Since it is only once in awhile I sort of forget about it.

Gosh, not me! I've had my '07 since '07 and I still look in my rear view mirror! Mine only does it once in a while too and only when the AC is running.
 
All 4th gen Runners have it. Make sure that your propeller shaft stays properly greased and it really is no big problem.
 
Mine clunks too...

I think of it as a nice, once in a while, "pat" on the back for buying such a nice truck.. ;)

2nd gen has it & 4th gen has it, Japs don't believe in improving drivetrain? Maybe it's a part that is too "Unrefined" for the :barf: engineers?

Actually funny that you mention this, I spoke with a FST (Factory Service Tech, the guys that Toyota sends to troubleshoot hard to solve dealer issues) and found out that the while the GX470 does have a campaign for this exact issue, they never stopped using the old drivelines on the factory line. It is considered by the Japanese as an "acceptable characteristic of a 4WD SUV." I have to say that I was half laughing and half WTF?! when he told me that, he shrugged and agreed with me that it is just one of those weird things that comes from the Japanese...

I wonder if the LFA has a driveline clunk?

Btw, moly B grease will fix the problem. Mobile one alone is a temp solution. The moly b is a more permanent solution.
