Sliders are typically very heavy duty and bolt directly to the frame. they are built to slide off of rocks so that you don't take any actual body or frame damage. Steps (like the N-Fabs) bolt onto the body of the car, right undeneath your door on the sheet metal rather than the sturdy frame. they are significantly cheaper, less heavy duty and are NOT built to take much of any impacts although i do have N-Fabs and they slid right off of a rock without any damage or bending but generally thats not what their meant for.
