4runner Sunroof question

I have a 1984 toyota 4runner SR5. I noticed that after i bought the truck the sunroof on it came off a chrysler product ( I noticed a small emblem) SO at some point the person before just threw a sunroof on it. It works, but I would like an original. So I'm looking for an original toyota sunroof. I found a sunroof on ebay from an 85 MR2. The compatibility chart said it wouldn't fit, but Toyota wouldn't make two different sunroofs would they? Would this one work? Thanks for the help.

I guess it depends if yours was a stock or aftermarket sunroof. You saying it has a Chrysler logo is not promising. I would take measurements and try to get more pics from the seller to see if they are in fact compatible. My first thought it that it wouldn't work, have you tried looking up the part numbers on someplace like toyotapartseast and see if they are the same??

The sunroof on it now was stock for a chrysler vehicle of some type. The latching process is similiar, but not exact. I think the chrysler one is a bit small too because the roof leaks when it rains heavily.

The price was good, and I just figured it would work better than the one i have?

Didn't check that site, but after looking I couldn't see anything about sunroofs...

I have an extra sunroof glass at home out of an 89' 4runner, with the grey sunroof cover if you are interested. The glass has some superficial scratches as you ca see in the pic.

I am missing the sunroof cover on mine over here in nz. If noone is interested i can pay for postage etc to nz.
