4runner, the band?

did anyone know that there is a country band called 4runner???

i was on yahoo, u know lookin up stuff for my truck and i stumbled upon that site. i dont know about u guys and gals but ill let it slide when a band named themselves chevelle (well because i have one and i think its a slick name) but come on now 4runner? i love the truck, but a band named after it? i think they jumped the shark...
of course this is just my opinion and i may be alone

Well...at least since their name is 4runner, they are true musicians. I'm sitting here listening to their music on their website and the sound engineer in me is listening quite critically and they're good recordings. They seem to be good musicians....they're singing harmony with each other, in tune, and musically in time with each other. Of course, I do hear the "studio magic" that we can do in the studio, but they do sound like weathered musicians....FWIW...

They call themselves 4Runner but there are only 3 members in the band...

Maybe they should call themselves the 3rd wheel or something

The group has been around for quite a while, goes back to the early days of the 4Runner (vehicle, that is). They used to be a foursome, but the bass vocalist left the group late last year to persue 'other interests'. They even did a commercial for Toyota in the early days. I have all three of their CDs, and if you like good harmonys, and some country gospel, they are pretty good. They have had a couple of chart songs, but nothing really hit it mainstream. I like them, a refreshing change from most of the pop-country being pushed these days.
