4runner trade. Any thoughts?

Hey everyone,

In the next week, I may have the opportunity to buy a 1999 Highlander/Sport. The good: It has a 5spd with a rr diff and 110000 on the odo.
The bad: has been keyed and needs the drivers side quarter panel replaced.
The truck would cost me somewhere around 6k plus repairs. I have yet to being it to a mechanic to get it checked out which will likely be the deciding factor.

If i ended up buying this, I'd have to sell my (pretty much stock) 2000 Limited with no rr diff and 150000. Kbb says the private party value for this is around 9k I believe.

Any thoughts or warnings? Advice is appreciated.

Well the benefits in trading in your situation seems to outweigh the bad, so go for it, especially if the locker is something that you really want. As mentioned before, replacing the keyed part shouldn't cost that much.
