My buddy tried to get it covered under his homeowners insurance but they denied it. Sitting here waiting on my insurance adjuster now. We'll see what happens. What would you guys think they would offer? Nada says $11,000 in excellent shape. I take really good care of my vehicles so I would say its very close to that. KBB says $9760.

Is it 4WD? If so, please buy it back and either cut the roof off like a 1st Gen or sell it to me so I can. I've been wanting to do that to a 3rd Gen for a long time. Perfect candidate.

Yeah, its a 4x4 with all the bells and whistles. Don't want to risk breaking the rear window with a bottle jack and 2x4. I'm actually amazed that it didn't break when the limb hit. It actually peeled the metal away from the window. There's about a 1 inch gap between the metal and the window so it leaks really bad!

That's sick. That makes me want to trade in my beater on a 3rd gen. If the rear window rolled down, that would make that just perfect.

I don't see why it wouldn't. All you would have to do is shorten the wiring harness. It still has room to tuck down into the hatch.

The rear window still rolls down. I would consider doing that. It looks good and reduces top weight for a trail rig. If you aren't a good fabber, use the insurance check to take it to a shop. Accidents like that suck, but they open up new doors and possibilities.
