4Runner vs Ford 6.0 Turbo Diesel

Well obviously there has been no documented competition between these two vehicles, however, we happen to own both so I will give you my impressions...While the Ford could tow the 4Runner and every other model of Toyota behind it (I mean at the same time) you can clearly tell the quality of the Toyota is far superior.

I have had my Ford in the shop 3 times since the purchase of the rig, July 2003, however, I have had my Runner in the shop 2 times since the purchase back in Aug of 99

Anyhow, just giving some props to Toyota for a very fine rig!!

Thanks, now I know what you are talking about. What kind of mileage do you get and what kind of driving do you do?

I guess the diesel is the only way to go. My brother bought a Dodge becasue of the Cummins engine.

Maybe there might be a US version of the 4Runner diesel..... How many 4Runners out there would have bought a diesel version, if available....
