4Runner vs Tacoma

Okay guys, my 4wd has not been working. The 4wd lights just keep flashing, I have done some testing. The rear will engage but the front will not. Would the front actuator off a 2000 Tacoma work on a 1999 limit 4Runner? Both manual transfer case. Not doing it for permanent replacement but to verify that my current one is bad. I know there are a few other things I need to check like vacuum lines (I did fine some that were broken and have since replaced.

Quick notes
Replaced some vac lines at actuator on case.
Replaced light engage switch on the front
Rearend will lock in 4hi 4lo also E locker works.
Front is not engaging.

Both of those should be vacuum actuated for the ADD actuator (what you are swapping, I believe?) so it should work just fine.

Have you tracked down whether it is a transfer case indicator switch, the ADD actuator or the ADD indicator switch on the diff that has gone bad?
