4Runner vs Tacoma

I sold my 06 limited and bought a 09 Tacoma DC Sport 4wd.I picked it up for close to wholesale,a little over $22k.I drove it for 3 months and sold it last week.I picked up a 2008 4Runner Sport 4wd pretty loaded up for $23k with only 21,000 miles.I have to say,the Tacoma is in no way built as good as the 4Runner.I know it's cheaper to purchase, but the over all the fit and finish are like night and day.I can't see ever owning another truck.I looked at the 2010 T4R,but I think I will stick with this body style.

I have a Tacoma & 2 4runners. I think my Tacoma is fit and finish just as good as my wifes 4runner. Driving an SUV as a DD is just not an option for me.

Runner over Taco

I agree that the 4Runner is a higher end vehicle, especially the Limited. It is intended to be. If I wanted a pick up, I would look at the Taco's.

For me, the Runner is so much more versitile and capable.

This is one case to say I am fortunate to have a '02 V6 4 dr Tacoma PreRunner and a '07 SE V6 4x4. best of both worlds. No point in getting my cargo space dirty at Home Depot getting plants and stuff.

Funny, I have it the other way around. 02 4runner SR5 Sport Ed. & 05 Tacoma D-cab TRD Sport. Love them both. Also have an 86 4runner, but that is a different story.

Rockwall said it right....I guess that 4runners are higher end, You can hardly get a Tacoma in limited trim, or even leather seats. It is meant to be that way. I'll say 4runners are nicer, but Tacoma's are really durable, I would not say that 4runners are any more / less durable than Tacoma's.
