I'm in Southern CA, I see a 4Runner about every mile I drive.

Seeing several gens at one stoplight is not uncommon. Parking lots, neighborhoods, freeways, just jam packed. 1st-5th gens, all common.
My driveway has been home to 4 of them since 2008... what can ya do...

Because there are STILL so many runnin' down the road. Start looking for 15 or 20 year old Fords or Chevys. It is more of a challenge.

now actually this is a psychological trick that your mind plays. when you driving a specific car then you subconciously look for that car so hence you see more of them. It is like i had a 93 lincoln continental back in the day and before i got that car i saw like no one driving them, but now i see them everywhere lol

I wish this was true where I live... Sadly small town Iowa... Well I stick out like a sore thumb... White lifted 4runner with black wheels only one here. I ain't getting away with s@!t here... Ha ha ha

With those half doors now all they need is 4in suspension lift, 3in body lift, SAS, some bead locked rims, regearing 4.56, and some 35's... Damn I love lifted vehicles too much...
I know what you mean. The same goes for 1st gen Tacomas which are basically impossible to get used parts for here in IA.

Come to Colorado and all of a sudden your 3rd gen is almost overly common here and if I drive a few miles I'll see at least 4-5 3rd gens along with several 4ths and now 5th gens,a couple 2nds and even a first and that's not including the Sequoias,Tacomas and Tundras in the same trip.
I've been at a stoplight on more than one occassion where at least 4 gens will be represented and when off road the trails are almost exclusively filled with Jeeps and Toyotas and little else.
Oh yeah,Subarus also rule our landscape as I'll see several STIs in that same trip also and that's suppossed to be a rarer car.

I have had several Toys over the last 6-7yrs. I love 1st gen runners but hate the engines.lol I started dating my GF in oct. of last year. She had a really nice 3rd gen at the time. I drove it once and was like gotta have one! Lol Now that I have my 3rd gen, I have started to notice how many runners are out and about. Hell, there are 5 3rd gens in my hood alone, not counting mine. Someone crashed into my GF's runner in dec., now she has a 2013 SR5. Between us we have 3 runners! Toyota's are some of the best cars/trucks on the road. I do road construction for a living, so I deal with cars/traffic all day long. I have seen at least 10 runners this morning at the intersection I am working on right now. I have only been working for 3hrs! Lol. You are right, damn things are everywhere!

Isn't that an understatement. I see 4runners everywhere! I even see one in my garage?!
Toyota's in general are crazy popular here in Colorado. People have figured out that they will run forever and can handle the mountains quite well.
On the Subaru note, I have my dad looking for good deals in central Illinois for Subaru's so I can have him drive them out to make a little extra cash. Turns out Illinois doesn't have any.

I remember seeing them everywhere when we were in Cali.
There are a lot of them here too, but much less of the cult following, I love my runner types and more of the soccer mom type. Mine is the only lifted, mud tired one around here.

They are everywhere because everyone realizes how good of a truck that they are and they want in on ownership! I have been a Toyota driver for many years and have always owned Celica's. I just bought the 4Runner that I currently have and I absolutely love it! Nothing better than owning a Toyota, you definitely know that they were built with pride.

Yup! In CO I see at least 10 a day on the road. At work we get over 20 4th gens alone per day that come in for service. I quickly traded my Sebring in once I moved here from FL.
3rd gens I see too many to count. lol
