4Runners in Afghanistan

I don't know if it's been mentioned before but there's a bunch of 4Runners in Afganistan, mostly 3rd Gens but a few 4th Gens at least at the FOB I'm at right now. There's a ****ton of Diesel 4 door Hilux's, I'd love to ship one home. This place is unforgiving with the heat and the dust and these things just keep on trucking.

Let me see if I can get ahold of some of my old SAC buddies and their C-17s or C-5s. Wonder how many diesel HiLuxs we can fit.

May as well have them stop in OZ and pick up some LC 70s while they're out and about.

Yes a bunch. I'd say there are more up armored Land Cruisers though. At the moment I sport a 2010 diesel one.

We had a 2nd gen Hilux Surf, Right Hand Drive (must have come from India/Pakistan) can't remember if it was a diesel or not. I also drove a RHD Hilux my last day there. Of course that was 9 years ago (2003...) Wow, hard to believe it's been that long.

It is depressing we have been in that country for over a decade. It is depressing to think of all the great people we have lost there for a country that will, in all likelihood, descend right back into insane Islamic fundamentalism the moment we step out.
