Tom-Miner-Basin down Paradise-Valley close to YNP...

Pic-02:...a view from the pullout at the pass...
Pic-03:...a view lookin back from the pass...only thing missing from this photo is a Wells-Fargo old stagecoach and horse team!...
Pic-04:...opposite view where I parked...
Pic-05:...a gorgeous view from the basin...one of many...
Pic-06:...the Grizzly-Creek-Ranch in an incredible valley setting!...

...A Drive Up On the Beartooth-Highway!

...Last week I took a few days to drive the very scenic Beartooth-Highway...
...The Beartooth-Highway:...considered by many the most scenic highway in America...it is only 60-miles long, starts in Red-Lodge and ends in Cooke-City...going from 5,500-foot elevation on up to 11,000-feet and back down again...
...I have been there several times over the past 5 years...and altho we have some haze from fire-smoke at this time of the year...it was much better than the last few...
...Every time I return...I am once again Awed by the Beauty and Majesty of this entire area...and can't wait to go back again soon!..so here are some photos:
Pic-01:...My 4Runner on a switchback at about 10,000-foot elevation...
Pic-02:...a view from the overlook at 9,100-foot elevation coming up outta Red-Lodge...
Pic-03:...Above treeline at nearly 11,000-feet...if ya squint ya can see the actual Beartooth-mountain in the notch in the upper-right of the pic...
Pic-04:...Found a mountain-goat family near there...Mama needs to shed a LOT of winter fur

Pic-05:...This was the adorable goat kid just chillin in the sun...
Pic-06:...This was Crazy-Creek Waterfall...more of the tumbler kind...
Pic-07:...The chipmunks at the overlook are some of the fattest I have ever seen anywhere...they have learned how to work the visitors like pros!...
Pic-08:...A view of Pilot and Index Peaks down in the valley near Cooke-City...

On Potash Road along the Colorado River near Moab and Canyonlands NP. One of the few roads not muddy after all the snow and rain of the last few weeks.
Flagpole Knob. GWNF.
What year is your Xterra? I had one with the exact same color that we just traded in for my wife's Ford Edge. I gladly took her 4runner. I wanted one when I bought the Xterra but the budget did not agree with me.
I love all of these scenic pics. I am hoping my wife and I can do a weekend get away this summer and maybe I will get some nice pics.
