4th Gen 115 AC power add on?

hello,

i was wondering if there is a "kit" (OEM or otherwise) to add an AC power plug in 4runners that are not limited models? i've seen auxiliary units but i would like mine integrated with the trim if possible (OEM setup)

There is no kit that I am aware of, however the wiring is in place in the console all the way back to the drivers side rear quarter panel area just forward of the wheelhouse where the factory unit was located.

General concensus is don't bother trying to add the OEM inverter. It's rated for 100w and costs a couple hundred bucks. An aftermarket inverter costs much less and is much more powerful.

:iagree: Some have gone the extra mile and purchased the OE switch to control the aftermarket inverter to preserve the "factory look".

is there a specific unit i am looking for? and are there any pics of the install?
