4th gen 4.0l headers?

My '03 V6 SE 4L has tubular steel headers --- I wish it had the old cast iron ones as the thin wall steel ones make an unpleasant noise when the drivers window is open and you are riding along side a Jersey Barrier. Sound like you have a leaky exhaust. Anyone tried wrapping them with the heat tape used on headers to try to quieten the noise?

I just noticed waht was on tehre looks very restictive and I was hoping there was something to put on there.

Not sure if they'll fit or not, but JBA just released 4.0L V6 headers for the FJ cruiser. Same engine, same frame(?), I don't see why after a few minor mods they wouldn't fit...

same thing applies to their headers for the sequoia/tundra...

Maybe thats what ill do today...talk to them about headers now that i finally got the intake installed.

Yeah, do it. I was checking out JBA's website the other day wondering why they have Tundra/Sequoia headers and then released the new FJ headers, but ignored the 4Runner???

I sent JBA an email (via their website) and haven't heard back yet. Headers are definitely my next performance mod...

I have called jba before when they had the headers for the new tacov6 4.0 engine same as 4runner v6 and they said it would not fit. Maybe they use the ones from the taco on the fj or these are new for the fj.

I know that they will fit...its just the cats/manifolds may need to adjusted to fit that setup...I would also yank out that joke of an x/y pipe that toyota has in there.
