Jeep Patriot makes that list but an FJ Cruiser doesn't? I don't know how seriously I can take that article.

Many would probably prefer the size of the 80 and 100 series over the fj cruiser, IMO. The Patriot was an "honorable mention" (NOTE: The Patriot is only listed for those buyers specifically looking for a cross-over or fuel efficient option).

Good point, but why show a picture of it trying to flex? Lol, I just think it's funny because Toyota designed the FJ to be it's fun/adventure vehicle.

Crossovers can flex? I'd take a Patriot over a E320 or E350 4Matic Wagon...which actually made the list!

The LR3 is every bit a cross over as the Patriot is, it's just much better off road. Pretty sure the automatic Patriots come with CVT's
